What is the Kia Access app? Who is it for?

The Kia Access app is a way for Kia to provide a more personalized ownership experience through our all new smartphone App and bring key benefits and features of the owner’s portal to your phone. If you are an existing UVO link or UVO eco or UVO luxe user, the Kia Access app will be your one-stop location for UVO and ownership experience. UVO features available depend on the vehicle type and capabilities. For non-UVO customers, Kia Access will bring a whole new app-based ownership experience to their fingertips.

I am an existing UVO customer; will I lose functionality with the new consolidated Kia Access app?

The quick answer is no! For the current users of UVO link, UVO eco and UVO luxe, the new Kia Access App will include all the features of these individual apps and also bring in the Kia ownership portal’s experience. For the UVO eServices users, the new Kia Access App will work alongside their existing UVO eServices App and enhance the ownership experience.

Will my existing UVO/owner portal credential work for the Kia Access app?

Yes. You can use the same username and password used from prior UVO apps for Kia Access.

When will the Kia Access with UVO link app be available?

The Kia Access app will be made available during the first quarter of 2019.

Is Kia Access available for both iOS and Android? How can I get the Kia Access app?

Yes, Kia Access will work on iOS and Android systems*. The app will be available in the App Store and Google Play. Kia owners will be informed once the app is available.

What action will be required of legacy UVO apps owners?

How do UVO link owners update their app to Kia Access with UVO link?

For iOS devices:

If UVO link does not automatically update, click on App Store, then search for “UVO link” app and click the “update” button.

For Android devices:

If UVO link does not automatically update, click on Play Store, then click the menu icon at the top left, then select “My apps & games” and locate “UVO link” app and click the “update” button.
