For eligible used vehicles, Kia offers five plans through its Kia Protection Plan program. These options provide you with additional service and repair that's right for you and your vehicle. Once you choose your plan, you can purchase protection depending on your vehicle's age and mileage.

TERM CARE SELECT
Protect against the unexpected.
Get the ultimate "peace of mind" protection. Kia Term Care Select safeguards many of the components of your vehicle not already covered under your warranty—and with an impressive $0 deductible.* With Term Care Select's Platinum Plus Coverage, you'll receive mechanical failure protection on wear-and-tear items like brake pads, batteries, headlights, belts and hoses, light bulbs, and windshield wiper blades.
- Brake pads: Covers the replacement of one (1) set of front and rear brake pads/shoes during the term of the Service Contract.
- Battery: Covers one (1) battery replacement during the term of the Service Contract, or the difference between the manufacturer’s pro-rated reimbursement and the total cost of the battery.
- Up to $200 for each tire or wheel replacement that is made; $1,200 lifetime maximum for repairs or replacements
- Headlamps: Covers the unlimited replacement of headlamps during the term of the Service Contract (IMPACT DAMAGE NOT COVERED).
- Windshield wiper blades: Covers the replacement of one (1) set of windshield wiper blades and/or inserts during the term of the Service Contract.
- Belts and hoses: Covers the replacement of the engine belts and hoses during the term of the Service Contract including: vacuum pump belt, serpentine belt, power steering belt, alternator belt, supercharger belt, air pump belt, air conditioner belt, water pump belt, heater hose, bypass hose, throttle body hose, upper and lower radiator hoses, air conditioning hose, power steering pressure and return hose, air hose, washer hoses, vacuum hoses, and fuel hoses.
- Electrical; Unlimited coverage of fuses, interior and exterior light bulbs during the term of the Service Contract including: turn signal bulbs, engine compartment lights, running lights, fog lights, stop lights, backup lights, license plate lights, parking lights, trunk light, dome light, courtesy light, visor light, map light and glove box light. (IMPACT DAMAGE NOT COVERED).
- Wheel alignment: Covers one (1) wheel alignment during the term of the Service Contract.
- Key Replacement Service: Reimbursement for repair or replacement of one (1) key and/or key fob annually; $400 limit per repair or replacement
- 24-hour Roadside Assistance and Towing Service: Up to $100 sign and drive per occurrence
- Lockout Protection Service: Up to $50 sign and drive per occurrence
- Trip Interruption: Up to $100 per day for food, lodging and alternate transportation; maximum of $500 per occurrence
- Emergency Message Relay: Up to three (3) messages

Kia Distinction Term Care Select does not cover brake drums and rotors, solar powered devices, glass, lenses, body parts and/or panels, trim, moldings, tires, wheels, upholstery, paint, bright metal, audio/security or other systems not factory installed, wheel balancing, cellular phones, radar detectors, appliances, vinyl and convertible tops.
Kia Distinction Term Care Select also does not cover mechanical breakdowns caused by misuse, abuse, negligence (including the negligence of any repair facility), improper towing, lack of maintenance of a failed covered part, contamination, overheating, lack of coolant or lubricants, lack of oil viscosity, sludge, restricted oil flow, salt, rust and rust damage, environmental damage, or chemicals; burnt valves, worn or carbon fouled piston rings, the correction of oil consumption, or any repairs for reduction in engine efficiency that must be performed on the vehicle. These are common exclusions. For exact coverages, exclusions and limitations, please review the contract itself.
ROAD HAZARD PLANS
For the road ahead.
The Road Hazard Tire & Wheel Protection Plans cover repairs or replacements to tires damaged by certain road hazards. These hazards include debris on the road or road surface conditions such as potholes, cracks, and breaks. Take your pick of two protection plans: Standard or Deluxe.*
Standard Plan
- 3, 4, or 5 year plans available
- $40 allowance for each tire repair
- Up to $200 for each tire or wheel replacement that is made; $1,200 lifetime maximum for repairs or replacements
Deluxe Plan
- 3, 4, or 5 year plans available
- $40 allowance for each tire repair
- $5,000 lifetime maximum for repairs or replacements
