3G Network Sunset for 2015 and 2016 Kia Soul EVs

General Information

 

Kia Connect (formerly known as UVO) services for 2015 and 2016 Kia Soul EVs will discontinue on December 31, 2022, due to the Verizon’s retirement of its 3G network, on which these services rely.

 

2015-2016 Kia Soul EVs with Kia Connect capability require 3G cellular network support to utlize remote features and services.

 

On December 31, 2022, Verizon, the wireless network service provider that owns and maintains the network plans to sunset its 3G system. Due to these circumstances which are beyond Kia's control, Kia Connect services will no longer be operable in the affected vehicles.

Disclaimers:

  1. All Kia Connect services will deactivate, including safety and security convenience features such as 911 connect, Road Side Assistance, and Stolen Vehicle Recovery.

  2. Due to Verizon’s discontinuance of the 3G network, Kia Connect services that rely on 3G will no longer work after December 31, 2022. Specific Kia Connect models impacted are Kia Soul EVs, model years 2015 and 2016.  Terms of Service.
